Mercy Care Street Medical Team, Volunteer Intern
January 2017 - December 2017
  • I facilitated the treatment of homeless populations from my role within a medical team comprised of various medical professionals working in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • I utilized complex scheduling and medical charting software, EPIC Systems, to coordinate the logistics of patient interaction with the medical team.
  • I managed the healthcare team's actions by checking patients into our system and then referring them to the appropriate healthcare professional within our team. 

Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, Mat Project Coordinator 
Member, January 2016 - December 2017; Coordinator, August 2017 - December 2017
  • Alpha Phi Omega is a national service fraternity that requires its members to complete at least 20 service hours a semester.
  • I coordinated the chapter's weekly "Mat project" in which old plastic grocery bags were crafted into blankets and mats for people in need of warmth and shelter
  • I founded a partnership between APO and Mercy Care Atlanta, where I worked within a healthcare team serving homeless patients, to provide the APO mats to my medical team's homeless patients.

Emory Dream Project, Program Director and Vice President
Member, August 2015 - December 2017; Leadership, August 2016- December 2017
  • The Emory Dream Project provides underrepresented high school students with resources and mentoring opportunities to close the college inequality gap, in addition to hosting events on Emory University's campus to raise awareness of education inequality.
  • As Program Director, I developed Emory Dream Project's first comprehensive curriculum for high school students which integrated SAT preparation, tutoring services, college application assistance and peer mentoring programs and was organized into weekly lessons plans.
  • As Vice President, I acted as the liaison between high school administrators and the Emory University Dream Project, participating in bi-weekly meetings to review progress and target future directions.

Emory Camp Kesem, Public Relations Committee Chair
August 2015 - May 2016 
  • Emory Camp Kesem provides free summer camps for children of cancer patients to psychologically and emotionally support these children.
  • I directed the creation of marketing materials intended for various audiences and purposes, including invitation of the general Atlanta public to our annual fundraising gala, marketing of our fundraising gala to local Atlanta news outlets, and raising awareness of Camp Kesem and its purpose to the Emory University community. 
  • I communicated with and coordinated PR releases publicizing Camp Kesem's annual fundraising gala with local news outlets and radio stations.
